Plain view of Marinduque

View towards south from the middle of the island. Clouds pass through the sky like thoughts passing through your mind. Thoughts about the apparent near loss of forests around you.

View towards north. You see half of a mountain mined out and just left behind by the makers of 'Canadian snow', mine tailings really.

View from the south. It truly looks desolate after years of slash and burn farming and logging. You sense that this area overlooking the coast of Torrijos was prime forest land once upon a time.

View from western coast of Marinduque to Tablas Strait, the once quiet recipient of daily doses of sediments, pollutants and tailings, the sea now shivers as our ultimate sink.
